Description
Bring a piece of Key West history home with this artwork of Sloppy Joe’s Bar. It captures the bar’s famous Duval Street facade: the red columns, the bold “SLOPPY JOE’S BAR” lettering, and the scalloped awnings advertising Piña Coladas, Draught Beer, Cocktails, Entertainment, and the Sloppy Joe’s Special. An American flag flies against a bright blue Keys sky, a palm tree leans in from the left, and the bar’s classic little man in the bowler hat stands by the doorway.
The frame is as special as the artwork. It was handcrafted by Lobster Trap Art of Islamorada from lobster trap wood that spent more than five seasons weathering underwater in the Florida Keys. That long soak in salt water gives the wood its rustic texture, worm holes, and rich brown tones. Because of this, no two frames are alike, and the piece you win is truly one of a kind. A small card mounted in the lower corner tells the story of the wood.
